Effective but too thickIt's really thick and doesn't come off. Would have loved something less viscous and tinted brown to match my skin.

Awesome natural sunscreen!I've been searching for an SPF lotion that doesn't have a ton of chemicals in it, and while this one isn't 100% natural, I like all the natural ingredients it contains.
And FYI, any mineral sunscreen will leave a white cast on your skin unless it is tinted. It's not a lack of inclusivity, but a lack of chemical ingredients, that for me is well worth it!

A Little Goes A Long Way!!!!When using this product, a little goes a long way. I noticed a comment regarding the residue on a darker complexion. When I first tried this product, the residue did conspicuously appear on my skin too and my complexion is very light. It can show up on any complexion. At that moment, since I had already applied the product, I was still going to the pool anyway. I applied Vitamin E oil and it helped to smooth out the remaining residue. I realized that I should only apply a small amount at a time otherwise apply Vitamin E oil or some kind of oil to evenly distribute and prevent leaving any residue.

Not for the Melanated...I am a huge fan of SheaMoisture and even sent a message a while back asking for some skin products with SPF, although I appreciate the effort this product is a total fail...well just for those of us with darker skin.
1 week ago, Saturday, I planned on spending the day outdoors (no beach/swimming), Farmer's Market, Winery etc. forecast was a sunny 103°f (yes, I live in the Desert) so I decided to try this Mineral body cream with 35 SPF, after showering/drying off I rubbed on a small amount and it immediately appeared white and chalky on my melanin skin...legs, arms, torso, everywhere. My husband suggested I let it soak into my skin for a while....1 hour later my body was still chalky white, see attached photo. As you can see it looked completely white on my brown skin, and this was after putting on a small amount, bottle says use a generous amount, imagine if I did, I would be casket ready! I tried wiping it off with a warm wet towel but it barely came off, I had to shower all over again!
I'm very disappointed, I was really looking forward to a safe chemical free sunscreen but Shea Moisture you missed the mark with this first pass...hopefully you will consider us with darker complexion when creating products with SPF. Your brand is usually very inclusive, I love the all natural hair products for my Afro-textured coily 4c hair, but I felt very excluded with this product.
Did you even test this out on Melanated/darker skin? Or was this product not meant for those with a darker complexion? I will be returning this product to Walmart. My search continues for a natural SPF sunscreen that doesn't leave my beautiful brown skin looking casket ready!
