Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not recommend I bought this double cleansing face wash at my local target to go with the hose hip moisturizer. The face wash was on clearance for just $4 so I gave it a try. After about 3 days of using this product my face started burning. Then the 4th day it made my entire face so red and burnt, around my eyes started peeling shortly after that my face started peeling. I looked and felt like I had alligator skin with a terrible sun burn. I’ve read multiple reviews stating the same issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than L'Occitane I have been a religious user of cleansing oils, and I have tried many on the market and I thought that the best one was one L'Occitane has. This one is hands down better, from the ingredients to the consistency, and THE PRICE. I will be purchasing this one from now on as a staple in my skincare routine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not for sensitive skin! Purchased on clearance at Target. Facial cleanser and coordinating facial moisturizer have burned my skin!! I'm normally not that sensitive, but this combination has been toxic for my skin. I'm 54 and have no prior skin problems...maybe a bad batch??

Rated 1 out of 5 by from red burning sensation and blotchy patches This oil almost made me throw up by the smell of it. i will say that it doesnt leave a oily residue on the skin, but it made me break out into hives and my skin was burning. People were telling me that my face was bright red.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Strips skin, burns eyes This product did not live up to my expectations at all. After cleansing, my skin feels tight and dry. If even the tiniest bit gets near your eyes they burn for hours!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lifesaver I had over-exfoliated my skin to the point of needing a new face cleanser pronto. I went to Walgreens and saw this and promptly bought it and used it. It was so amazing using this product, first, it smells amazing, is gentle, leaves skin smooth and soft not to mention it melts away makeup with ease. An A+ for SheaMoisture as always!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS STUFF CHANGED MY LIFE I have had problem skin all my life. My skin is oily and seriously acne prone. Fighting both and keeping my skin from becoming the Sahara desert at the same time was a nightmare. I had been reading online about how using an oil based cleanser was *the thing to do* so I went to the store and picked up this out of desperation because of the natural ingredients and by sure luck. Let me tell you, this stuff changed my life. I alternate it and my hardcore acne wash and its keeps my skin from drying out. I never thought an oil cleanser would be good for my oily skin, but it doesn't leave behind a residue and it keeps the oil at bay. To add, it melts my makeup off better that any makeup remover I've ever used. All my water-proof and 12 hour stuff slides right off. Plus it smells amazing. I know that different stuff works for different skin types, but I've let other people try it out and they love it too. If your skin type sounds like mine, or even if it doesn't, I'd give this cleanser a shot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted this to work. The product made my face feel wonderful, and not oily . . . but then it started to eat my face. One of the ingredients is a salt made from an acid. Could that be it? I also cannot use alpha hydroxide (sp?). If you have really sensitive skin, stay away from this one.

My bottle was all oil when I first bought it, now it has white stuff at the bottom and at the top. Does anyone know what it is? Is it safe to use? It hasn't even been a week since I got it.

Asked by: Cas17
Hi Cas17, Our products are formulated with natural and certified organic ingredients. When the contents settle, the ingredients may separate. It sounds like the Shea Butter is separating from the other oils which is normal. Please send a photo to [email protected] and our team can verify for you.

Is this product safe to use on eyes, specifically?

Asked by: Aimee
This cleanser/makeup remover is the only one I've ever used that stings my eyes. I also find that it doesn't do a very good job removing my regular, non-waterproof mascara; and if I've put on a primer under my eye makeup, then I have to use a separate eye makeup remover because this cleansing oil is totally ineffective.

Got a new bottle and it was gelatinous and clumpy. My first bottle was all liquid. Why is it like that? Is it ok to use it like that? Will it come through the pump if its clumpy?

Asked by: Rose oil momma
I had the same thing happen to me. I am wondering if it is just an old bottle or if there is something actually wrong with the product. I love this oil product but not the gel stuff.

Does this help clogged pores ?

Asked by: Jocey
Hi Jocey! This product gently cleanses impurities and dirt from this face without leaving an oily residue. This product also contains Camellia Leaf Extract which has anti-inflammatory properties. It will not clog pores. Hope this answers your question!
