Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for me! This works well on my natural coily hair. The color is nice too. There is no irritation and it doesn't effect the natural pattern of my hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shine and color. I loved the consistency and results of this hair color. It did not smell harsh like most other hair colors do. It also left my hair in great condition, with lots of shine. I actually think my hair is in better condition now if that's possible. It made my hair smooth and manageable, too. There was also a very generous packet of a deep conditioning mask included in the box. The hair coloring products at the drugstore don't do that! You usually just geta tiny packet that isn't enough, especially if you have thick hair like I do. The only thing I didn't care for was how red my hair turned out. It was a tad too red for me. But, if you like a red tint to your hair then this is the perfect product for you. I'll be buying this again for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New positive experience for 3b hair coloring The only reason why this is a 4 star rating and not a 5 is because it made my white overdue roots a bright hot copper red. Since I am a natural curly girl, I can hide it. The great news is that it completely covered my very resistant white roots. Previously I was using loreal preference or excellence with the addition of grey magic which I buy from Sally's. Shea Moisture did the job. The application was very pleasant. No drips, smell or irritation. I applied the color just to my roots for 30 min, then overall for 3-4 min. The color is a rich beautiful chestnut brown. In the sun the red/copper obviously really srands out. My husband says my hair is now red, but truly it is a brownish red. I would say it is a level 5. The day I colored my hair. I went to the beach. After 3 washings, my hair is still lovely. Next color I will try the light brown or dark blonde since I am overy 80% white. Try it. You will like it.

What is the difference between this product line and the color system?

Asked by: Needshea
The only thing that has changed with our new Color Creme is the products offered inside. Instead of the Raw Shea Butter collection, we now offer our High Porosity Mongongo Hemp Seed Oils Moisture-Correct Masque to help deeply moisturize and seal in your color! This change was brought on by customer feedback regarding the previous Hair Color System.

How many boxes do you recommend on using for medium/long hair that is thick?

Asked by: Luna
We recommend using two if you are concerned about the amount offered in one. You can always save product that you do not use by sealing tightly and storing in a cool dry place, do not mix these ingredients if you will not use it right away.

Is this Permanent Hair Dye

Asked by: TiaT
Hi TiaT The answer is no. I have been using shea moisture hair color for the past 3years. I have no problems with it. I have been using the reddish blonde, which is beautiful. I am about to try a new color light brown. My hair did not get damaged. You still need to give your natural hair treatments. Enjoy! Sister M
