This past September, SheaMoisture ignited a Braid Revolution at Texture on the Runway, where hair no longer took a backseat during New York Fashion Week.

We joined Texture Media’s Naturally Curly and our retail partner Sally Beauty to celebrate texture in all of its natural forms. From braided styles that celebrated Cleopatra to locs and twists adorned with bright colors, SheaMoisture left the runway ablaze.

The activation was part of SheaMoisture’s  Community Commerce initiative to empower women and transform communities, which has invested over 1 million dollars to-date. To help celebrate the fact that one can look good, and feel good while doing good at the same time, the brand partnered with UNIFORM, a technology-driven streetwear company founded by award-winning social entrepreneur Chid Liberty. With each purchase, UNIFORM’s signature +1 program produces and donates a school uniform to a Liberian child who otherwise could not attend school.
