My Hair Is My Valentine
Love Your Hair on Valentine's Day!
This day of love doesn't have to be limited to just that special person in your life. Showing love to your hair is just one of the many ways you can show yourself love. In honor of Valentine’s Day, I'm sharing my tips of love that I give to my hair, and encourage you to try them out.
Trimming your hair is a great way to love your hair for Valentine's Day. Trimming is the only way to truly remove split-ends and any damage to the ends of your hair. If you don't trim, the damage may travel up the strands and further damage the rest of your hair. Additionally, when your ends are trimmed, your hair looks healthier because the thin, weathered ends have been removed, which leaves your hair looking fuller and thicker. Schedule an appointment with your stylist for a trim this V-day.
I "j’adore" protein treatments, because they strengthen hair unlike anything else I've ever used. If you have weak, brittle hair, the right protein treatment can aid in repairing this issue. Protein treatments also make your hair much softer and smoother, and we all love soft, smooth hair. To find the best protein treatment for your hair and its needs, read product labels carefully or watch product reviews on KinkyCurlyCoilyme.com or from your favorite Vloggers. This Valentine's Day, check out your local stores to find a protein treatment that your hair will love.
Hair masque, hair masque, oh how I love thee! Hair masque can act as a preventative measure to ensure that there is as little damage to the hair as possible through the styling process. Using a masque on a regular basis can help add “life” to your hair. Your hair's elasticity, moisture, color, and overall health will improve because of the emollients and other nourishing ingredients in the deep conditioning treatment. If this isn't love, I don't know what is.
Loving your hair organically is my last tip. Products with natural and/or organic ingredients are good for your hair. The more you use them, the healthier your hair will get! Obviously, your overall health is much more important than the health of your hair. When you use hair products containing chemicals, you are exposing your whole body to those chemicals. You don't have to toss out every product you own with chemicals, but you can start by identifying which products contain organic and/or natural ingredients and then use them more often.
Loving your hair naturally is my last tip. Products with natural and/or organic ingredients are good for your hair. The more you use them, the healthier your hair will become. And, your overall health directly effects the health of your hair. When you use hair products containing synthetic ingredients, you are exposing your whole body to them. However, you don't have to toss out every product you own with synthetic ingredients. Start by identifying which products contain natural and organic ingredients and work them into your hair care regimen. Check ingredients on labels to find out which products don't contain sulfates, parabens and artificial color. The love for your hair shouldn't be limited to just Valentine's Day, in the same way that loving that special person in your life shouldn't just be a one day thing. Share the many ways you show your hair love. Happy Valentine's Day!
