Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moisturizing Gel I absolutely love this gel. I know others have issues, but I love the organic/natural aspect of this gel. It has the feel and consistency of a botanical gel. It actually enhances curls, it''s not the best for the extra slick down look, so if that is what you are going for this is not the gel for you. My curl waves or coils up perfectly with this gel. I have learned that there is a balance; I can not use too much product, or it will be extra slippery and sticky. However, the moisture is excellent; it feels as if it is always hydrating my hair. I hope they do not change the formula for this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You Hit a Home Run with this One Ok....sooo......I tried this gel about 3 years ago. I ended up throwing half of the contents in the jar away because it was just to sticky and messy and I did not like how it felt on my hair either. After viewing some YouTube videos recently stating that it has been reformulated, I decided to try it again. I LOVE it. My hair is so moisturized and it just smoothed down my hair cuticles. My hair look so good. My sisters asked me, what do you have on your hair? How did you get your hair like that. FYI....I wear my hair as a Wash and Go about 95% of the time. Shea Moisture, you hit a home run with this one. Ladies, if you are considering trying this gel, just keep in mind that a little goes a long way. I was pleasantly surprised at the results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product Overall! I purchased this product after a recommendation from a friend. I use other products from this line but have never tried this one before. The first time I bought it, it was clear in color and the consistency was like a gel. Perfect for my families hair. I went to purchase a new container and this time it was orange and the consistency was like jello. I'm not sure what happened. I went to several stores and it was all the same. You have to pretty much rub your hand together to get the product to be smooth. Hopefully this was a bad batch. Overall I like the product. It adds great moisture to my hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Results! So this stuff has the strangest consistency. The key is to take a small amount (which is all you need for your entire head) and rub your hands together to emulsify it before applying it to your hair. I used it as the final step with the Low Porosity line (shampooed once, conditioned and then applied a small amount of the leave in conditioner, then finished with a small amount of gel) and had a great hair day. My hair takes forever to dry so I used my hair dryer on the lowest setting for a short time. Picked it out from the roots for volume (I have 4c hair, very tight coils, high shrinkage). Day two all I had to do (after sleeping in my satin cap) was spritz my hair with water and apply another SMALLER amount of gel to reactivate my curls. Absolutely no frizz and amazing shine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST STYLING PRODUCT I was pretty skeptical before purchasing this but I wanted to try it for myself and test out how my hair would respond to the 'gel'. Honestly, I have never achieved so much moisture and definition using just one product. Even the driest parts of my hair were moisturizer by using this alone. Pairing it an aloe Vera leave-in spray will make your curls pop even more! I feel like a lot of people either love or hate this gel soufflé. If you're new to this gel, a little goes a long way (literally; I use 1-3 taps of gel for each section). Using too much will very likely weigh your hair down. This gel soufflé is honestly better for me compared to the Curl Enhancing Smoothie (which doesn't always do the job for me). Definitely a bang for your buck and will last you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 Day Moisture Sealer I decided to do a 3 month no direct heat challenge, so roller sets would be my go to style. FYI: my hair is 3c/4a with a undercut. I applied gel soufflé to freshly washed hair. Then rolled with flex rods. Once I removed the rods my hair felt sappy. I was too upset. The curls looked great , but to the touch felt gross leaving my fingers sticky. With no time to redo I sprayed water and went to sleep..... 5 days later my curls are still lovely, well moisturize, and not sappy. It just seals in the moisture. I suggest you be mindful of applying with a heavy hand. Enjoy your curls!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ms. My Hair Type: 3c/4a; I use this product after washing and conditioning to style my hair. A little of the product definitely goes a long way! It does a great job at defining curls, and keeping your style frizz-free. I love the scent! My only dislike about it is that it does tend to make my hair feel rather greasy and sticky. I prefer a light product on my hair especially in the summer but I have yet to find one that protects my hair from frizz like this one so far. So I''ll continue to use this until I do.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Strange consistency I got this product yesterday and I found that it was very lumpy. I could barely get the product on my fingers for applying it to my hair. I''ve seen a lot of review and tutorial videos of this product and everywhere, the consistency was always smooth and runny. I''m a little concerned as to the genuineness and quality of the product as it also gave me frizz the morning after I applied it. Can anyone help me out? Should I return the jar?
